FAILURE TO PASS BILL TO BAN MASK MANDATES WILL FURTHER ENDANGER OHIO CHILDREN UNDER DEWINE

10/22/21

Cleveland, OH – According to recent media reports, Senate Bill 209—a bill that would prohibit public schools from requiring facial coverings for students, staff and visitors—is no longer a priority for lawmakers in the Ohio Senate. Senators “have lost interest in banning schools from issuing mask mandates,” the report continues. Ohio families and their children certainly have not lost interest and continue to be terrified that Mike DeWine will force everyone to submit  to his COVID mandates.

DeWine has said previously the only reason why he has not implemented any mask mandates is because the state legislature would likely stop him. But now with one of the stopgaps refusing to pass Senate Bill 209, Ohio children are in danger more than ever.

“The state legislature is the last stopgap between Ohioans and Mike DeWine’s heavy-handed COVID mandates,” Jim Renacci said. “DeWine said it himself that he would implement mandates if he could. We must not let that happen. As governor, I will do everything in my power to protect individual freedoms and ensure families are able to make the best decisions for themselves.”

It was also reported yesterday that DeWine is expanding his Vax-2-School lottery scam, continuing to take his marching orders from Joe Biden and Dr. Fauci.

“I have always said that a Renacci administration would leave these vaccination decisions to parents and their children, not the government. DeWine has shown he not only backs down to the left’s radical agenda, but he is willing to implement and promote these destructive policies that hurt Ohioans.”
